Public Relations Is What You Make of It

The results you get for formulating some good deeds for your clients, depends on your persistence, amped up by the ability to listen carefully whenever opportunity knocks. The truly exciting part is good PR can build on itself, sometimes, with ever-lasting results.

More credible to the public than paid advertising, public relation’s tactics—like the standard press release are often free to pursue.

 Most PR projects embrace four elements of research, planning, execution and evaluation. As for advantages, they are often cited as economy, reach, credibility, interest, lead generation, and image enhancement.

Case History

Carr Island where, for more than 100 years, a tiny island has welcomed guests.

One big take away from this project was the opportunity to barter PR services for  new metal roof  with Classic Metal Roofing and with Gerry Donahue (Donahue Construction) who did the installation. Consequently, the restoration of the island—with an emphasis on the metal roof—was reflected in a media blitz including, DYI, Connection, and Green Living Journal.
